마티온 대륙의 여러 국가들은 수백 년에 걸친 평화 아래 풍족하게 번영하고 있었다. 그러던 어느 날. 가장 큰 국력의 마티스 왕국이 갑자기 이웃 패트리샤 왕국의 영토주권을 주장. 변경 부족인 퓨리어스족을 용병으로 동원하여 침공을 강행했다. 패트리샤의 젊은 여왕 플러프는 근위기사단장 타이니를 외교사절로 보냈지만, 일행이살해당하고 학대당한 타이니는 교섭은커녕 포로 신세가 돼버리고 만다.
