Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu

Yoshiki and Hikaru have been inseparable buddies for as long as they can remember, growing up in a tiny village where they’re the only kids their age. Their friendship seems perfect on the surface, but everything changes after a particular summer. Yoshiki starts to notice that the Hikaru he knows is no longer the same. Although he looks and remembers things just like before, there’s a strange vibe about him that Yoshiki can’t shake off. When Yoshiki confronts Hikaru about this unsettling change, things take a wild turn. Hikaru reveals a darker side, transforming into a mysterious entity and threatening Yoshiki if he can’t accept this new reality—while also expressing a bizarre kind of love for him. Caught in a whirlwind of emotions, Yoshiki finds it hard to let go of his childhood friend, even as he starts to bond with this altered version of Hikaru. As if that wasn’t enough, their village begins to experience odd and eerie happenings, adding to the chaos in Yoshiki’s life. He’s torn between the past and the present, trying to navigate this new, complicated relationship while dealing with the strange events unfolding around them.
