This legend speaks of a criminal who stole gold from the Ainu, the native people of Hokkaido, and hid it away. The catch? The treasure can only be located by piecing together a map that’s tattooed on the skin of escaped convicts. When Sugimoto teams up with a young Ainu girl named Asirpa, they embark on an adventurous hunt for these tattooed prisoners. However, they soon realize they’re not the only ones after the gold, as soldiers and mercenaries are hot on their trail. With Asirpa’s expertise of the land, the duo dives into a thrilling journey filled with revenge, danger, and the lure of wealth.
