The Knight in the Area

Kakeru Aizawa is just your average high school soccer team manager who thinks he’s got zero skills when it comes to playing the game. His brother, Suguru, is a total soccer star, even representing Japan on the national team. While they get along well, Kakeru can’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy over Suguru’s talent. But Suguru sees something in Kakeru that he doesn’t—he believes there’s a hidden talent waiting to be discovered. Things take a dramatic turn when an unexpected tragedy hits, pushing Kakeru into the spotlight as he’s suddenly thrust into playing soccer. On top of that, he finds himself reconnecting with a childhood crush, which brings back a lot of memories and emotions he thought he had buried. Now, Kakeru has to confront the fears and insecurities that have held him back for so long. It’s a journey of self-discovery, as he learns to embrace the game, face his past, and maybe even find his own place on the field. Will he rise to the challenge and uncover the potential Suguru believes he has?
