Lloyd Frontera is the ultimate lowlife, the kind of guy you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley. As the oldest son in his family, he spends his days drinking and bullying others, squandering what little wealth his family has left. Meanwhile, the family's knight, Javier Asrahan, is on the path to becoming a legendary swordmaster, while the Frontera family is headed for disaster, drowning in debt and facing a grim fate. Enter Kim Suho, a regular civil engineering student from Korea who suddenly finds himself in the shoes of Lloyd, the obnoxious character from a story centered around Javier. With a quirky status window giving him the lowdown on his new life, Suho is understandably anxious about the impending doom that awaits Lloyd. Determined to avoid a life of poverty and to enjoy some comfort, Suho hatches a plan to turn Lloyd's terrible reputation around. Armed with his engineering know-how and a sprinkle of magical construction skills, he starts introducing modern ideas and urban development to this medieval world. As he works to uplift the community and improve living conditions, he also aims to make a tidy profit along the way.
