After taking down Boo, Goku finds himself feeling a bit restless on Earth. His wife, Chi-Chi, is pushing him to find a job, but all he really wants to do is train and seek out tougher opponents. Meanwhile, in another part of the universe, the God of Destruction, Beerus, along with his companion Whis, is hopping from one planet to another in search of delicious food and some fun. During their travels, Beerus has a flashback about a figure from his dreams known as the "Super Saiyan God." Intrigued by this mysterious character, he decides to head to Earth to track him down.
