Issei Hyoudou, a typical high school student with a bit of a pervy side, never thought his first date would take such a wild turn. Just when he thinks he's about to enjoy a romantic evening, his girlfriend drops a shocking line about dying, and before he knows it, he's brutally killed. But fate has other plans for him! He gets saved by the stunning Rias Gremory, a powerful Devil, who gives him a second chance at life by turning him into her Devil servant. As Issei navigates his new existence, he learns about the ongoing war between Devils and Angels. It turns out his "girlfriend" was actually a Fallen Angel named Raynare, who was sent to eliminate him because he possesses a rare and powerful artifact known as "Sacred Gear." Now part of the Occult Research Club, which is the base for Rias' team, Issei meets her other servants and is given the title of "Pawn." With dreams of building his own harem of gorgeous girls, he sets out to climb the ranks. However, he soon realizes that danger lurks around every corner, as he must confront Fallen Angels and rogue Exorcists while mastering the abilities of his Sacred Gear.
