人間の精子で妊娠するメス猿を絶滅の危機から救う話

七百年前、戦乱の中で村を焼かれた者たちが 山奥に逃げ込んだ。その際に食料も住居も無く困っていた彼らの 世話をしたのが大猿だったという。

僕の父は「猿神神社」 の宮司だったが、 交通事故で突然この世を去った。

しばらくの間大猿の助けを借りながら山奥で 暮らし、その後戦乱の世が終わると人々は山 を降り今の土地に住み始めた。

「猿鳴山」は禁足地とされており、宮司の家 系の者以外足を踏み入れることは許されない。
